The Godfather Analysis (Opening Scene)





Mise-En-Scene:
Office Room, Tables, Guys in suits,  Cat, Roses worn by Godfather and henchmen, Executive chair that godfather sits on, Sitting behind a big desk, Godfather is wearing a ring to signify he's the don, Office looked to be in his home as it looked a casual working place not an office etc, Don and henchmen were drinking alcohol, Lamp was on a some was showing dons face.

Camera Angles:
Zoom out, Close-up, over the shoulder, Low angle,  Medium shot, Focus point, Two-Shot, Shot Reverse shot, High Angle, Extreme Close-up.

Narrative:
On first impressions it looks like the first person we see is the Godfather this is later proven to be untrue as that guy is asking the actual godfather for help, They both seem to have a long term friendship, 5-6 characters in the room, The actual Don is recognized by the red rose he wears.

Sound: Diagetic sound at the start when opening titles was shown, Diagetic sound coming from elsewhere like a party or wedding was happening.

Characters:
First person we see is not The Don and turns out to the asking the don for his help, there were henchmen, The Don look old as if hes been in the business for a long time recognized by the red rose and ring on his finger.
